Jesus, A Pop Icon Since 30 AD?

I thought it would be nice to start off by introducing two current perspectives on Jesus and Christianity.
I have included two videos clips below, hosted on the ocean of pop culture itself, YouTube.
The first video clip showcases a young man nearly rapping a self-written poem about how he found salvation through Jesus and his message (very clearly opposing the Church's), to a very captivating beat (fit for the movies, really).
This video managed to receive over 16 million views!!! I first discovered it through Facebook, where a few of my friends posted it, many of them joining in on his praise.

An intriguing, response layered with much sarcasm popped up in the suggestions bar next to the right hand side of the video. Being one of my favourite You Tubers, I decided to see what he had to say. The Amazing Atheist, scoring just under 1 million views, had some interesting things to say.

If Jesus had twitter, how many followers would he have?
